Live and let go your voice

It is increasingly frequent to watch comedies or movies in which, through parody, the naked and raw reality is placed right under our noses.

If you look at the first seconds of the trailer for this movie, you will be clear what I mean.
Here in the United States, the wealthy population periodically goes to the “shrink”, or psychotherapist. Not that in Italy it’s too different.
The necessity of modern society is to name things. When a person suffers for some reason he does not find peace until someone labels his problem with a diagnosis.
At that point, the problem is no longer a problem, but has a name and becomes something to talk and brag about.

Stopping to speculate on the reasons for a suffering, the work of the “Shrink”, or getting to give it a grand name, the work of the “specialists” doctors, in no way solves the suffering.

My work very often leads me to work with people desperately looking for the reason for their suffering or a diagnosis that labels their problem.

None seems to want to solve the sickness, the problem.
If a bird has been poking into your ear, one of my voice workshops might brighten you up!

Foliage on Lake Winnipesaukee

The foliage period, when trees start to change colour and prepare for winter, attracts many tourists to the Boston area.

This weekend, those who have chosen to do Full Immersion with me are lucky enough to be able to take a ride around Lake Winnipesauke on a train that takes tourists to White Mountain, along a four-hour loop route, to see the explosion of color in the surrounding forests and the valley.

Today I have the pleasure to accompany them and since by now I am also known by the local people here in New Hampshire, I am lucky to be able to have the opportunity to visit the locomotive. Something that has the atmosphere of an ancient and powerful mistery. In America the railway lines are almost all powered by diesel engines, there are no electric poles, so the experience is even more enjoyable, thanks to the low frequency hum of the engine.

This year it’s too late, but you still have time to book for next year!

The ten songs to sing this Halloween season

We are at the beginning of the increasingly celebrated Halloween period, a holiday of ancient and dark origin that is celebrated on the night of October 31 and November 1.

When it comes to singing it is always important to have the right inspiration so I decided to share with you the atmosphere that surrounds me here in the United States. Then at the end of the article, if you really have no idea what to sing, I’ll tell you the ten best songs to sing on Halloween!

When I walk through the streets of the suburbs of Boston, I always find beautiful houses with gardens, windows, doors and balconies decorated with something reminiscent of the festivities. The funniest are huge black inflatable cats, taller than the house, or skeletons with cloaks waving in the air hanging from a tree. Once I even met a fake hanged man: he really made an impression on me! The atmosphere is completed by the scented candles that are lit every night inside the pumpkins carved in the shape of a monstrous head.
Even restaurants and fast food chains are showing their restyling for the event, for example at Starbucks they have created a drink for the occasion I love: spicy pumpkin latte!

When I pass by Salem, the city of the Witches, I meet people who seem to have come out of time, dressed in long tunics and high pointed hats, colorful and uneven stockings. Even the accessories are kept in the highest care for example I loved a hair clip in the shape of a skeleton hand!

“Trick or treat”

Are you ready for Halloween time?

I’m adding my list of songs for a karaoke evening on the theme of Halloween

Find out what the joke is?

Mylena Vocal Coach featured on MTV Rock!

Today they talk about how to Find your Voice and my Inborn Voice method on MTV Rock with a nice article in which they tell you that you can always heal your voice thanks to a ‘make over’, or a total transformation!

Singers know perfectly well that some ways of using the voice are harmful to the vocal cords, especially those who sing styles such as Hard Rock, Metal or Growl.

Many of these artists, often self-taught or students of unscrupulous teachers, get a vocality that is apparently fit for purpose, but that even after only six months of use leaves permanent marks in the vocality. Singers from all over the world come to me and are no longer able to sing for 15 minutes without starting to lose their voice.

There is one way, one sun to sing: the healthy one. And you can sing with these styles without major problems, have the ability to last for an entire concert and even have more concerts a week. All this is only possible thanks to my method: Inborn Voice!

The pumpkins are alive!

Here are the pumpkins prepared by the children of Newburyport, MA for the big Halloween celebration.
In fact, here in the United States this holiday lasts a month and not only the last day of October as in Italy. In fact, on the last day of October, all the children are locked up in their homes!

Elisa’s Video Testimonial

I’m adding one of the video testimonials you can find inside my Free app on the Apple Store.

This is Elisa’s experience, capable of great things!

In life, sometimes, you find yourself in a place where everything is very level.

And then you see it.

A nice climb,

And you wonder what that means.

I met Mylena in one of the darkest periods of my life and I searched for her because I felt something was wrong, I felt that I needed to pull out something that I had inside but I couldn’t do it by myself.

So I contacted her, asking to teach me how to sing.

I went to her it was ( I have shivers even if now is an hot day┬░), it was the most beautiful encounter of my life, because she gave me the strength
to look inside me and figure out who I really am.

Mylena, I still remember the first day when we met, was very nice, very exciting.

She’s gonna look under your masks.

She has stripped me of my clothes and now she has managed to help me sew them back together.

Yes, because I have a joy inside that is unexplainable.

When she told me, Elisa you have to listen to your heart, I made a strange face and I said: “why, what is she saying to me? Why don’t I listen to my heart?”

That’s actually how it was.

I didn’t listen to it and now that I listen to it everything is amazing.

She taught me so many things, she taught me patience, she taught me to understand what I really want, to understand that it’s not so much what we already have, that maybe it doesn’t make us happy even if we don’t notice it, she taught me to, she encouraged me, and it’s fantastic: she changed my life!

Then I want to tell you that when you think that everything is over or that you can’t understand who you are: don’t give up!

You really try to stop and ask yourself what you want from your life.

One advice is to find a Mylena and to be able to experience and begin with her this path, which is sometimes tiring, sometimes it is very, very, very, very uphill.

You must have the patience and desire to look inside you.

But when you get to this thing, you’ve got it all!
